CANCELLED May 23, 2013, Planning Ahead
The meeting planned for the Gifted and Talented Parent Advisory Board on May 23, 2013 has been cancelled.  Please accept our apologies.  End-of-the-year scheduling conflicts for a number of individuals who organize and present our meetings resulted in this decision.
For the elementary parents who graciously volunteered to participate in the extracurricular activity project, know that plans haven’t been forgotten.  We will reconvene by or before the next school year.
The Elmbrook district is preparing for the review of GT programming which begins early in the 2013-2014 school year.  Check the webpage and look for further information through the email news blast system.  Thank you for your interest, involvement and revitalization of support for the GT PAB this year.
If you have questions or comments, contact Mary Brewer at 262-781-8299, or email  Have a great summer!

The Gifted & Talented Parent Advisory Board (G/T PAB) serves as a communication link between parents of G/T children and the Elmbrook School District. The G/T PAB:

  • Support parents of students in Elementary, Middle, and High schools
  • Provides perspective and feedback to the District
  • Partners with organizations to provide support to parents and educators
  • Members serve on District Committees

Parent Advisory Board meetings are open to the public. The schedule of meetings for this school year is below.

The G/T PAB membership is composed of parents and representatives from the Elmbrook School District elementary, middle and high schools. In addition to attending PAB meetings, school representatives partner with the G/T Coordinator at their school as needed.

Recent Initiatives

The G/T PAB provided feedback as Policy and Practice Statement 6142.1 was developed and implemented to aid in the identification of Gifted and Talented Students. Once identified, the gifted and talented student will have access to differentiated instructional strategies and will be guided toward appropriate academic opportunities.
